Day 2
It is the morning of day 2 and we are at a La Quinta hotel. Not super cheap but they are dog friendly so we didn’t have to worry about sneaking Ducati in and out. And, they have a business center where I can jump on the computer for a bit. It is easier to type on the computer then from my phone.
We made our goal of Salem, Oregon last night so that we are through the traffic areas and we will be back on the road headed south in another 30 minutes. This is going to be a really long push day of just driving south on I-5. Nothing exciting about that and just hoping that the pass is pretty clear. It rained a ton last night with a crazy side wind that was actually pushing the 16ft truck around; Mike kept us in our lane. All is well and now it is really hitting us that we are on holiday. Worries of work are slipping away and hopefully won’t reappear until we are going into the office 3.5 weeks from now.
Yay! Miss you already. Thanks for your card!
Guys…. I can feel that energy of embarking on a new trip. I might even be a little envious. The unknown pavement ahead, the frustrations and challenges… the surprises, laughter and awe. I will smile here knowing that you guys are heading for warmer climes and crazy fun times.
I cant wait to see this blog unfold!
All the very best to you both (hugs)
