Notes: Secure parking for motorcycles and other vehicles in a very secure garage about three blocks away. We rarely use a location not part of the hotel but this was secure and safe. We did have to get up early to move the motorcycles. When we arrived in town everyone was at the bull fight (holiday week) and no one was at the cheaper option with parking in town (we checked again at 6:30pm and still no one there, so good we didn’t wait). This hotel was a little pricey but it was very clean and lots of hot water and towels. The room we had was small.

Notes: This is a “pit stop” kind of town but this was a clean hotel with very secure motorcycle parking (could also fit one van or truck). The rooms on the third floor were less expensive but we didn’t want to haul our gear.

TINAJANI CAMPGROUND – tent camping
Tinajani Canyon, Peru
PR-ACC-46

Electricity: No
Internet: No
Kitchen: No
Restaurant: No
Notes: The amount to pay per night is essentially a donation amount after you check out the mini museum. It is not free camping and some sort of payment is expected. It is a beautiful location (the canyon is stunning) but it was very cold at night. We were there in winter and our water bottle froze inside the tent but as soon as the sun was up no problem at all. The owner and his family are wonderful. They also have a couple rooms that can be rented. Highly recommend a night or two if you are in the area.
