Southeast Asia 1991-1996

The following is a selection of photos from our various bike trips in Southeast Asia during the early and mid-1990s. Most of our trips involved small cc bikes around northern Thailand. We also had a quick two-day ride on a friend’s sport bike through a conflict zone from Phnom Penh, Cambodia where we were living at the time to the Vietnam border. That was a crazy trip as we had to assume on all bridges that there was no middle boards and that shooting wouldn’t start in the area we drove.

We were young and a little bit crazy as we didn’t wear any type of proper gear, didn’t carry any tools, the maps were limited at best, and all our kit (clothes, etc) fit into one small day pack.
